Chicago land area for many years. Professionally, he has been engaged by the

Festival Chorus, the Grant Park Symphony Chorus and the Elgin Choral Union.
He has performed for several seasons with the Lyric Opera of Chicago with whom he has appeared in productions of The Flying Dutchman, Parsifal, Faust, Aida, Turandot, Trovatore and Götterdämmerung. In 2005-2006, Oscar was engaged by the Florentine Opera to sing the First Prisoner solo in Beethoven's Fidelio. This was followed by performing the leading role of Alfredo in Elgin Opera's production of La Traviata. He then returned to the Florentine Opera for its run of Aida in the role of The Messenger.
In 2007 he has performed and has future engagements with his newly formed ensembles, The Tenors 3 and The Octave Leaps rendering opera, operetta, and ethnic popular repertoire. In the Spring 2007, Oscar was seen as The Black Robed Priest in Bob Hanson's monumental Hiawatha at the Hemmens Auditorium in Elgin. In February, The Florentine Opera engaged Oscar to perform the role of the Nazarene in its new production of Salome. Over the course of the past few months, he also returned to The Chamber Opera of Chicago for a Menotti Tribute directed by Menotti's son, an evening of Spanish music and dancing, and covering the lead role of Don Jose in Carmen.
Raised in a musical environment of music loving parents, he has covered the musical gamut from playing bass guitar and keyboards in rock bands, to secular music, oratorio and his favorite genre, grand opera. Oscar holds a special place in his heart for the Spring Valley Concert Band saying, "it's always a privilege to perform with this talented and dynamic ensemble."
